Sad Sunday

Saturdays and Sundays are suppose to be my rest day. I get to take the day off from performing my usual guard duty at the door when nobody is at home.

How would you feel if you were ask to guard the door work on your rest day? Well, that's what happened yesterday all thanks to Uncle S who brought Mummy and Korkor out for a car ride LAST MINUTE :(
Korkor: Er.... I didn't ask you to guard the door ok....

*Depressed* I hope they'll compensate me with day off-in-lieu soon :P

Hey Bee Bee,

We read about your earlier post regarding your immune system and having fungal infections repeatedly etc. You might be interested to attend this seminar by Dr. Ian Billinghurst. He is a holistic vet in Aussie who practises raw feeding for dogs. Details are here: http://barfsingapore.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=category&sectionid=10&id=37&Itemid=74

We don't know if u had heard abt raw feeding (BARF diet aka Bones and Raw Food) but to cut long story short, it's abt mimicking the diet of wolves as dogs evolved from wolves and have the same DNA. Commercial dry food (kibbles) are not meant for the dog's body and often dogs develope itchy and problematic skin becos our immune system is stressed by digesting kibbles. Imagine humans eating instant noodles for whole of their life! Won't they lose hair or start having probs in their health?

Often vets prescribe steriods/antiboitics or suggest the elimination diet which may seem to help in the condition temporarily only.

Dr. B bas his own range of raw patties (like hamburger patties) that you can buy frozen in spore. Its packed with raw meat and all the essential vitamins, veges etc. U just hv to defrost and eat it RAW.

Btw we are on raw diet too )but not on Dr. B's patties cos it's kinda expensive for mum), for almost a year now. Mum buys and packs our raw meals herself after reading up more info fr the internet. Barley used to have problematic skin but now he hasn't got a single pimple. And we dun have doggy odour or bad breathe too (mum bathe us like once every 4-5weeks.

More info can be found on the website mentioned above. U can go thru the FAQ, it's very useful. U may wan to consider giving it raw diet a try.

Wags,
Cocoa and Barley
